Cie Still Life

Sophie Linsmaux and Aurelio Mergola play at defining a unique stage language, and work on short forms. Obsessed by the same themes that return like a haunting leitmotif - the infinite precariousness of existence and the fragility of the human condition -, they strive to put body and nerves on edge in a highly written visual theater. Without words, they depict a world where everything is going terribly wrong and where humanity in peril is trying at all costs to find meaning and necessity. Since 2019, the Still Life Company has been an associate artist at the Les Tanneurs theater in Brussels.
