Yasmine Yahiatène

Yasmine Yahiatène is a multidisciplinary artist. She trained in video and performance at the Academy of Fine Arts in Tournai, the University of Fine Arts in Valencia, Spain, and at the Rencontres Audiovisuelles in Lille.

In 2020, she staged her first work for the stage and began writing “La Fracture”, a performance in which she exposes herself, tells her story alone on stage and uses video as a co-performer. With “La Fracture”, she unravels an intimate and complex relationship: that with her father.

In May 2023, she was invited by the CITF and WBI to take part in the artists’ incubator in Montreal, a gathering of various artists from the French-speaking world centred on the theme FLAMBOYANT·E·S COMME DES ORACLES. From 2025 to 2028, Yasmine is supported by the EMERGE programme (a network of cultural centres and theatres spanning Wallonia, the Hauts-de-France region and Flanders).
