Moquette Production

Jean-Luc Millot, Virginie Gardin, and Théodora Ramaekers were part of the Brussels collective Boîte à Clous when, at the end of 2012, they combined their artistic practices around an idea: to create a shadow play for children on the theme of fear: Eat your brambles!

Music, sound effects, acting, voice, images, and silhouette animations are the raw materials of theatrical creation and the narrative means, simple and raw, are those found at hand.
In June 2014, Manah Depauw brings her inventive background and her directing skills to the creation.

The preview of Eat your brambles! is presented, five months later, at the Schaerbeek Cultural Center and the creation takes place on March 29, 2015 at the Court-Saint-Etienne Cultural Center.

The company takes the name of the ASBL it founded in 2016, Moquette Production, the administrative and artistic framework of Eat your brambles! and its future shadow theater projects.
